Limey Limoncello Spritz

Make This Easy Delicious Cocktail at Home

Sometimes you just want a real drink. Not some bullshit watered-down drink (hello white claw), but a real solid holy-shit-that’s-strong drink. And here’s my confession… I make my own booze and love to make cocktails at home.

With the kind of day that I’ve had I decided it was time to put the mocktails aside and grab a little limoncello.

Limoncello is an Italian lemon drink that tastes like sunshine in a glass. Traditionally made with lemons from the south of Italy, clear alcohol and sugar, limoncello is a delicious lemon drink.

While I don’t have lemons from the south of Italy, I still make my own limoncello with organic lemons, sugar and Titos instead.

In Italy they love a spritz. Compari spritz, and even a limoncello spritz. This is my take on a limoncello spritz. I had some limeade in my fridge so I decided to switch things up a bit. The result was a surprisingly refreshing, but different limoncello spritz.

Ingredients:

2 Ounces Limeade

2 Ounces homemade Limoncello

Juice from 1 lemon

Sparkling mineral water

Mint to garnish

I like my drinks tart, so I add the juice from one whole lemon. Then, add the limeade to your mixing container (I use a mason jar). Make sure you give it a taste-test and see if it’s to your liking.

If you like a sweeter drink, use more limeade. If you like a more tart drink, add the juice from another lemon. Top with sparkling mineral water and garnish with mint.
