Lemon Balm Ginger Mocktail

Relaxing Lemon Balm Ginger Mocktail

In a world that never stops moving, finding genuine moments of calm seem all but impossible. But for me, I found calm, without the alcohol and the hangover. Enter the Lemon Balm Ginger Mocktail, a soothing beverage that helps you unwind naturally.

The Power of Lemon Balm

Lemon balm has been treasured for centuries as nature’s chill pill. This gentle herb from the mint family contains compounds that promote relaxation, ease tension, and support a calm nervous system.

Ginger’s Soothing Magic

Fresh ginger brings its own relaxation superpowers to this mocktail. Beyond its warm, spicy flavor, ginger is a powerful anti-inflammatory that aids digestion, reduces nausea, and promotes overall wellness. When you’re truly relaxed, your digestion works better – and ginger supports that natural process. It also contains antioxidants that protect your cells and boost your immune system, making this drink a true act of self-care.

Why Mocktails Win Over Alcohol

Here’s the truth about alcohol: while it may feel relaxing initially, it disrupts sleep quality, dehydrates your body, increases anxiety the next day, and adds empty calories. Mocktails like this Lemon Balm Ginger creation offer real relaxation without the downsides. You’ll wake up refreshed, hydrated, and proud of your choice. Plus, with the growing sober-curious movement, choosing alcohol-free doesn’t mean missing out – it means choosing something better.

This mocktail proves that the best way to unwind is by supporting your body, not sabotaging it.

I love to use lemon balm to help me with anxiety and overwhelm. Instead of having a drink, try this mocktail. It will help you relax without the adverse effects of alcohol.

Ingredients

  • 2 stems of lemon balm (or 1 tsp dried lemon balm)

  • 1 tsp sugar

  • 1 inch of ginger (or 2 tsp ginger)

  • Pellegrino

Directions

  • Take the lemon balm leaves off the stem.
  • Add the lemon balm and the sugar to your mortar (the bowl part of the mortar and pestle)
  • Use your pestle to crush the lemon balm leaves. The sugar should help you crush the leaves.
  • Once the leaves are sufficiently pulverized, place the green plant material in a mixing container (I like to use a quart-sized jar.
  • Peel and slice your ginger. Add it to the jar.
  • Add Pellegrino to the jar.
  • If you have time to spare, let it sit for a minute, allowing the herbs to flavor the water.
  • When you’re ready to drink it, strain and place it into a pretty glass.
