There's something luxurious about rose
Rose is one of those things that just screams luxury, relaxation and pampering. But have you ever tried a rose mocktail?
Rose is an ingredient that I love to include in my teas. Society currently considers rose the flower of love, however for many years rose was a flower that was both culinary and topical for beauty purposes.
Historically rose was said to be the herb of comfort, helping people most during times of grief. Rose is also delicious.
It’s an ingredient that would be lovely in a desert or (of course) a tea. If you are aiming to try your hand at using rose as an ingredient, it’s imperative to use organic rose petals or roses from your own yard. No one wants a side of pesticide with their tea or dessert.
This mocktail is extremely easy. We’re going to use our Rose Honey along with Island Vibes Hibiscus Tea.
It’s as simple as brew the tea, add the rose honey, and top with sparkling water.
If you haven’t made Rose Honey yet, it’s a really easy recipe. It’s simply organic rose petals and organic honey. Once I add my rose petals and honey to a clean jar, I let the rose get happy for 6 weeks. This gives the honey to become infused with rose. If you need your rose honey NOW, you can put your jar with rose and honey in a saucepan with some water. Put the heat on low for an hour, stirring the rose honey slowly.
After an hour, turn off the heat. Let the jar cool before grabbing it. Use a strainer to strain out the honey. And voila! You hav yourself some rose honey.
